UT2003, X²
We've included benchmarks from a custom HEXUS maximum detail test within Unreal Tournament 2003. Without wishing to step into the quagmire of what's right and wrong in driver filtering, we found it difficult to tell the difference, in real time, between the graphical output from the MESH and Evesham machines.
Is it a case of pure card or pure driver power here ?. We'll let you decide.

X² - The Threat shows an inclination for the MESH's FX 5700 Ultra. If there's one aspect we can take away from the set of gaming benchmarks it's the undeniable ability of midrange cards to deal with complex games and up-to-date APIs. If price wasn't an issue we'd look towards either an ATI Radeon 9800XT 256MB card or NVIDIA's FX5950 Ultra, also with 256MB of onboard RAM. That doesn't make the cards included here bad. With the results obtained here, we'd probably give the nod to the Radeon 9800SE AIW. It offers near-FX 5700 Ultra performance, but it then does a whole lot more with its multimedia capabilities. We have no real justification for criticising MESH's choice, either. It's a win-win situation at this price point.
