3DMark 2001SE, SS2, C4

Gaming benchmarks will be run with a discrete ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and with the onboard graphics. 3DMark 2001SE first.

The Achilles Heel of the i865G's Extreme Graphics 2 is performance. It doesn't possess hardware support for the Nature test and struggles badly in the high-quality benchmarks. Disabling it and using a 9800 Pro pays huge dividends. Futuremark seems to have a thing against onboard graphics submissions. It wouldn't let us publish the E.G 2's results. The discrete results can be found here.

Serious Sam 2 paints a similar picture.

No hardware T & L means no benchmark for the Extreme Graphics 2. Discrete performance is excellent, once again.
