Benchmarks: Power Consumption

With the system idle and the display entered into standby, the ET2321 draws 22 watts from the wall. Not bad for an entire system, and the use of mobile processors clearly helps keep power consumption down to a decent level.

Under-load performance is good, too. While transcoding a 4K video clip that applies 100 per cent load to the CPU, total system-wide power consumption - including display - reaches a maximum of 65 watts.

Overall efficiency is maintained when the GPU is tasked, though, to underscore an earlier point, we'd have preferred a slightly stronger graphics processor. At the expense of a few watts, a 55W GT 750M obviously would have been a better bet over the 45W GT 740M.
