Memory and single-threaded tests
Memory bandwidth and latency are considerably behind a single-core Athlon 64 3500+ AM2's. In the past, we'd have (accurately) surmised that the AMD CPU was simply faster. Is that the case here?
Moving on over to the single-threaded Pifast number-crunching test, we see that whilst the Intel Core Duo T2050 is the slowest of the bunch, recording a time of 66.66s, it's not too far off the pace. That time, incidentally, is faster than a desktop Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 840's (dual-core, 3.2GHz, Presler).
