Benchmarks I
A simple comparison between the Soltek EQ3702M and the full-size EPoX 8RDA3G. Both systems ran a Barton XP2500 at its default speed of 11x 166MHz FSB (1837MHz).
ScienceMark 2.0 cannot statistically differentiate between the two. 2.7GB/s of unbuffered bandwidth is available at 166MHz FSB, so both do reasonable well.
Latency is often an important issue when determining overall performance. The two protagonists are effectively tied with respect to bandwidth and latency. That's usually indicative of close real-world benchmark numbers.
That does appear to be the case with Pifast, our resident constant calculator to 10m places. Version 4.1 was used to keep to keep consistency with results obtained up to 18 months' ago.
