3DMark 2001SE, SS2, Comanche 4

With an ATi 9800 PRO 128MB card the Shuttle SN85G4 returned an impressive 19,446 marks in 3DMark 2001SE. It's a little strange to see it behind the VIA K8T800, because it has been ahead in the majority of the non-3D tests. This was a hallmark of the Shuttle AN50R too, so it's not altogether shocking. A breakdown of the SN85G4's scores can be found here.

Serious Sam 2 sees the SN85G4 exact revenge on the VIA K8T800. The lead is a meaningless 1%. We shouldn't be surprised to see an XPC do so well. The chipset provides the basic speed and Shuttle's engineers provide a means of packing that speed into a small, cute chassis.

Comanche 4 reinforces the close proximity of both Athlon 64 3200+ machines.
