Benchmarks I

The (in)famous SiSoftware's SANDRA memory benchmark kicks off proceedings. Running the unbuffered integer benchmark. Please remember that the double-pumped nature of the AMD CPU's bus will make it look half as attractive as Intel's CPUs.

This test isn't actually measuring the total bandwidth on offer. Instead, it's measuring all that the CPU can utilise. The SN45 does quite well in this regard.

On to Pifast.

Hot on the heels of the full-size EPoX motherboard. If we'd have used a 3.2GHz CPU in either the DFI or Shuttle cubes the benchmarks would have been that little bit closer here.

Crunchin' WAV files now. U2's Pop album crunched into 192kb/s MP3s using RazorLAME.

And SETI. The usual 0.417WU.

You could almost throw a blanket over the standard EpoX and the performance cube from Shuttle, such is the similarity between their results.
