We've only included results from the pre-built systems here.
What you see above is the performance difference between two Raptor 150GB 10K drives in RAID 0 and a single 500GB model, all from Western Digital. Of course, the two Raptors cost twice as much as the single, capacious 500GB drive.
USB2.0 performance is virtually identical. It should be, as both systems use the same motherboard and drivers.
