DDR2 offers significantly more bandwidth, according to ScienceMark 2.0, yet latency is largely unchanged, thanks to the high-clocking modules. The Evesham box is around 6% faster than a well-tuned Athlon FX-60 setup that, obviously, uses DDR1 memory. Most of that gain comes from the increased clockspeed, though.
