The Shuttle P 2500G sample was pre-equipped with a Connect3D Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB graphics card. Our regular gaming benchmarks when evaluating systems are run at 1024x768. However, with gaming being central to this SFF's appeal, we've chosen a more-suitable setting of 1600x1200 with 4x antialiaing and 8x anisotropic filtering. The P 2500G's Far Cry performance is a touch better than the MESH's when the latter is run in non-CrossFire mode. Of course, a lack of space and the size of ATI's high-end cards precludes multi-GPU running in a regular SN25P chassis. Still, an average framerate of around 80FPS and the 1600x1200 resolution makes Far Cry look and play great.
Smooth performance in Quake 4, as well.
We've tested Splinter Cell v1.05 with high dynamic range (HDR) effects applied, along with 8x AF. Performance, again, is shy of CrossFire's but playable enough at this high-quality setting. Really, without adding in some form of multi-GPU support, which isn't all that practical (SN26P's two cards are a tight fit), there's not much Shuttle can do to further boost gaming performance. NVIDIA's GeForce 7900 GTX would also produce similar single-card results.
