Benchmarks: Power Consumption
Modern PC components are designed to minimise power consumption when idle, and the ND 4000's reading of 51 watts suggests that everything is tuned as it should be.
And while there's a performance disadvantage of a stock-clocked processor, there's also a clear power-saving advantage. With the Core i7-3770K running flat out on all cores, power consumption is kept to a relatively light 120 watts.
The same can be said about the GPU. The GeForce GTX 660 isn't the most advanced offering in its NVIDIA's line up, but its mid-range characteristics are backed up by a system-wide power draw of under 200 watts when gaming.
