Benchmarks: GPU
The 3D benchmarks are where the PowerGlide Extreme needs to really impress, and it does so by using NVIDIA Optimus technology. During everyday 2D tasks, the system happily functions with the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. Kick start something a little more intensive - say, a run of 3DMark 11 on the Extreme preset - and the GeForce GTX 670 automatically kicks in.
It does a good job, too, scoring an impressive 2,849 3DMarks. That puts it up there with some of the fastest desktop PCs available.
Having this amount of graphics horsepower is handy when it's tied to a full-HD panel. Running Aliens vs. Predator with 2xAA, 16xAF and maximum texture quality, the machine was able to return a silky-smooth 67 frames per second.
Let's not beat around the bush; this is an all-in-one PC that has bags of gaming potential, and then some. Though, did you expect anything less from a GeForce GTX 670? The question is, how does NVIDIA's impressive card fare in terms of power-draw, temperature and noise when crammed into an all-in-one chassis?
