Benchmarks: Noise
There's mid-pack performance when the system is sat twiddling its silicon thumbs on the Windows desktop.
The Vanquish's two 120mm fans surrounding the radiator are pre-configured with quietness in mind. However, once the temperature hits 70°C the fans spin up aggressively, quietening down once the temperature is below this figure. They then yo-yo between medium- and high-speed settings as the temperature shifts between 65°C and 74°C. The perils of keeping an overclocked Ivy Bridge CPU in check, eh?
The reference GTX 680's noise level is far more palatable, mind.
