Benchmarks: GPU
There's little doubt in our minds that the GeForce GTX 680 is the fastest single-GPU graphics card available right now. The PC Specialist and Scan systems both feature the card, meaning they top of the charts.
The gaming numbers are more indicative of the graphics-card speed than overall system power. GTX 680 continues to lead. It provides silky-smooth performance at the 1080p resolution common on 22-, 23-, and 24-inch monitors.
Did we say that a GTX 680 was fast? The Vanquish benefits as a result of NVIDIA's GPU engineering. On a pragmatic note, in our benchmarks, the underlying CPU doesn't make much of a difference to overall gaming scores; GTX 680 is the defining factor.
