Notes
There were no problems to report during installation or testing.
Run with a Pentium M 770, performance will be compared to Shuttle's very own SD31P, which we reviewed recently. Intel's i955X and NVIDIA's nForce4 430 will provide the competition from the desktop front. We've also added in a couple of laptops with similar components. After all, this shoebox-sized SFF unit when paired with any number of TFTs, is a real alternative to heavy desktop-replacement laptops.
The running speed of the systems were as follows:
3801.5MHz - Rockdirect XTI 3.8 - Intel i915P - Intel Pentium 4 570 (1MB L2 cache)
3616.2MHz - Shuttle SD31P - Intel i945G - Intel Pentium 4 660
3592.2MHz - ABIT AW8-MAX - Intel i955X - Intel Pentium 4 660
2411.1MHz - Foxconn C51GK8MA - nForce4 430/6150 - AMD Athlon 64 4000+
2138.2MHz - Shuttle SD11G5 - Intel i915GM - Intel Pentium M 770
2129.5MHz - Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 - Intel i915PM - Intel Pentium M 770
Overclocking
Thought the BIOS doesn't offer any voltage adjustment to key lines, we were still able to run our 2.13GHz Pentium M 770 at 2.35GHz (147MHz FSB) without any compromise in stability.
