Wasn't long ago that sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500MB/s might have been considered excessive. The Samsung drive is undeniably fast, but with PCIe 4.0 raising the bar on AMD platforms, Intel's latest Z490 can't hit the same highs. Something to ponder for creative types who may be able to utilise speeds in the region of 5,000MB/s.
