Our PiFast test highlights the IPC uplift in Ryzen 3rd Gen parts, but Intel still maintains a healthy lead in single-threaded performance, and this is emphasised by overclocks of up to 5GHz.

Where Inferno R2 really shines is in multi-threaded benchmarks such as Cinebench, where the 16-thread Ryzen 7 3700X powers to the top of the chart. If your workload can benefit, AMD's chip can compete with Intel systems costing heck of a lot more.
