Benchmarks: CPU
In the months ahead, the golden duo for all system integrators is likely to be a Core i7-9700K processor and GeForce RTX graphics card. The latter has, in a way, come too soon, as systems such as the 3XS Vengeance RTX are for the time being having to pair Nvidia's latest with a soon-to-be-superceded Intel chip. Interesting, also, that few SIs seem keen on sending in a Ryzen-powered machine; the Intel and Nvidia combo continues to hold plenty of sway.
The Core i7-8086K, at 5GHz across all six cores, is ultimately a mighty fast proposition, but it's hard not to keep one eye on the looming eight-core successor.
