The CPU is something of a known quantity; the graphics are new. This page illuminates how a 1,536-core Radeon RX Vega GPU performs when paired alongside 4GB of HBM memory. The answer is that its performance is a notch below a laptop touting a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, but more impressive than a GeForce GTX 1050.

Our benchmarks show that Radeon RX Vega M GH is just about capable of 1080p high-quality settings when faced with decent games engines. The 30-50fps range in three of the games is helped out by having FreeSync support, because there are plenty of relatively inexpensive 1080p monitors on the market.

And just like the CPU, the GPU never throttles, running at 1,190MHz throughout our suite. Such stability is matched by a 99.7 per cent score in the 3DMark Time Spy Stress Test, too.
