Notes
The performance of Dell's XPS system will be judged alongside a couple of small form-factor PCs using AMD Athlon 64 CPUs and to HEXUS' own Pentium 4 660 (3.6GHz, 2MB L2 cache, EMT64) system that's housed in the black CoolerMaster case you saw for reference a couple of pages back. The HEXUS system features the same video card, hard drive and same speed of memory as the Dell XPS.
The XPS Gen-4 was a paradigm of stability during the review period. The very fact that it's extremely quiet is a definite bonus.
Clock speeds and memory timings for the various systems were as follows:
3630.8MHz - EPoX 5LWA+ - Intel Pentium 4 660 - HEXUS P4 660
3590.9MHz - Intel Pentium 4 560 - Dell Dimensions XPS Gen-4
2412.2MHz - AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - SCAN ISOTOPE
2210.8MHz - AMD Athlon 64 3500+ - MV Cubik GamePro
