Benchmarks: Noise
We soon overcame our heat concerns as the Nofan A890S is blissful during use. 28.4dB is the ambient noise level in our test environment, and the Quiet PC couldn't be heard. We had anticipated some level of electrical noise, but even with ears a few inches from the base unit, we couldn't tell whether the system was on or off.
It's a subtle change that you soon become accustomed to. I've since gone back to my regular PC, which I deem to be very quiet, yet having spent a few days with Quiet PC's silent rig, I now find the hum of my case fans to be a tad distracting.
