CPU Benchmarks I

The first three benchmarks accommodate professional 3D rendering and video encoding run on the CPU. All love more cores and threads, which is an environment that the 4.2GHz-clocked Core i9-7980XE thrives in.

Professional rendering performance scales almost linearly with more cores and threads - 36 vs. 8 - so we see around a 4x improvement when moving on over from an overclocked Core i7-6700K. If time is money, the Scan machine's return on investment ought to be significant when running huge projects.

HandBrake, on the other hand, isn't as well threaded when core counts surpass 20 or so. You'd never say no to double the performance, but the return is half that of the first two.
