Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1070 Ti was officially unveiled yesterday, but to our surprise all partner cards at launch are shipped with stock frequencies. Scan has applied a healthy overclock to the MSI Gaming card in the Z370 Vengeance Q, giving us a better idea of what the 1070 Ti GPU can do when pushed. At these speeds, it is snapping at the heels of GTX 1080.

Running a handful of modern games confirms that the GPU is more than enough for Full-HD gaming, well suited to QHD and not quite powerful enough for UHD with maximum quality settings. 8th Gen Core i5 and GTX 1070 Ti is proving to be a neat partnership, and the duo should ideally be paired to a G-Sync display touting a QHD resolution.
