Benchmarks: Storage
Storage is an area in which the Infinity X77 Titanium raises a few question marks. The 16GB Intel Optane accelerator and 3TB Seagate hard disk are presented to the user as a single volume, with the former acting as an automatic ultra-high-speed cache.
CrystalDiskMark reveals that Optane is capable of accelerating read performance to up to 900MB/s, yet the benefits of a cache aren't always guaranteed, and though this configuration delivered good responsiveness during our tests, we wonder if enthusiast users would prefer a dedicated SSD.
