A 5GHz overclock sends Scan's Core i7-7700K machine straight to the top of the single-threaded PiFast chart. The heightened frequency makes this the quickest quad-core system on show, but as expected the ultra-premium X99 machines still dominate the multi-threaded tests courtesy of their hexa- and deca-core processors.
