Benchmarks: File Copy and NASPT
A hardware configuration comprised of a dual-core Marvell Armada 385 processor and 512MB of DDR3 memory suggests that the DS216j won't be battling it out near the top of the benchmarks, and as expected, Synology's new addition slots in near the middle of the pack.
Performance is in line with expectations, and in our File Copy Test, which entails transferring a mixed assortment of files totalling 8.83GB from client to server, the DS216j managed a decent 83.2MB/s in a RAID 1 configuration.
