We choose the 4MB file size for sequential speed evaluation. The drive exceeds Intel's 2,400/1,200MB/s read and write speeds, respectively, and a combination of high-performance controller, PCIe-optimised interface, and fast NAND ensures the SSD 750 is fundamentally quicker than a good SATA drive.
PCMark 8 rarely shows a considerably higher score for a better drive - each of the constituent parts takes about the same time to run. Overall bandwidth is far more handsome; it's the first time we've seen a 500MB/s score from a single drive.
