ATTO, PCMark 8

This is hardly a fair fight. Multi-controller setup in RAID0 vs. the new Phison. The figures are close to bearing out G.Skill's lofty claims, at least as far as sequential speed is concerned.

The rub is that you'll need another Phoenix Blade to realise the 2GB/s transfers on tap. Writing out to the Neutron XT slows file transfers down by 60 per cent.

Effectiveness of high-speed SSDs is felt more keenly in certain benchmarks. One that doesn't show such an increase is the multi-test PCMark 8. Here, any modern SSD will do.

And digressing a little, boot times are longer, to the tune of four seconds, with the G.Skill installed; it goes through a more involved POST sequence.
