Benchmarks: Power Consumption
There's progress on the power consumption front, too. While the N2560 isn't as frugal as the ARM-based solutions, the new Atom SoC's power credentials make Thecus's latest one of the more energy-efficient Intel NAS boxes.
It isn't all good news, though. Thecus's software suggests that the installed hard disks should enter into standby after 30 minutes of inactivity, but no matter how long we waited, spin-down wouldn't occur. This is something that we suspect a software update will fix, but for now it serves as a reminder; ThecusOS 6 still needs work.
