Benchmarks - Iometer
Our intensive Iometer benchmark bombards each drive with 4KB reads and writes in a random spread at a queue depth of 32. This extreme test isn't indicative of everyday use, but it highlights each drive's ability to cope in worst-case scenarios and it's a challenge usually dominated by SandForce drives.
Interestingly, though, the numbers produced by the PNY aren't competitive with other SandForce offerings. We ran the test multiple times and the result came out within two per cent of what's published here.
