Benchmark: Iometer
OCZ's goal is to produce an SSD that excels in every regard. Our intensive Iometer benchmark bombards each drive with 4KB reads and writes in a random spread at a queue depth of 32. This extreme test isn't indicative of everyday use, but it highlights each drive's ability to cope in worst-case scenarios and it's a challenge usually dominated by SandForce drives.
Not anymore, as the OCZ Vector proves mighty adept and slots in near the top of the chart. Interesting to note, also, that OCZ's drive manages to pull out a comfortable lead over Plextor's M5 Pro and Samsung's SSD 840 Pro in this particular benchmark.
