CrystalDiskMark's use of incompressible data can be a stumbling block for drives based on the SF-2281 SandForce processor. Crank up the queue depth to 32 users, mimicking a heavy-load environment, and the 840 Series drive does very well in the read test and average in the write. There's clear performance differentiation between the Samsung Pro and non-Pro drives of the same capacity.
