It's difficult to produce an SSD that comes out on top in every single benchmark. Our custom Iometer test bombards each drive with a random spread of 4K reads and writes, and though it bears little resemblance to real-world use, it can demonstrate a drive's ability to cope in a worst-case scenario. In this situation, the Samsung 840 PRO remains quick, but it's unable to match the SandForce solutions.
