Benchmark: Iometer
Intel rates the 300GB 320 Series SSD's random 4K read and write performance at 39,500 IOPS and 23,000 IOPs, respectively.
We witnessed similar results in our labs when testing read and write performance independently, but for this particular benchmark we push the drives a little further by combining read and write operations in a 50/50 spread with an intensive queue depth of 32.
Doing so shows 320 Series performance to be very much last-generation, but it's worth noting that the drive excelled at much lower queue depths - a scenario that better represents general everyday use.
