Benchmark: ATTO
The ATTO benchmark provides a best-case-scenario and it confirms that OCZ's quoted speeds aren't make believe. Our 240GB review sample sped past all previous single-drive SATA solutions with read and write speeds of 550MB/s and 526MB/s, respectively.
It's like having a couple of first-generation drives in RAID 0, and the Vertex 3 even manages to surpass a PCIe-based RevoDrive when hooked up to a SATA 6Gbps interface.
SATA 3Gbps performance isn't as impressive, though. With the drive connected to the previous-generation bus, performance is fractionally behind the original Vertex 2.
