Patriot Inferno 120GB SSD review

We've often commented on the SandForce controller's ability to handle numerous 4KB input/output operations per second, but whilst rival manufacturers are quick to proclaim the IOPs performance of their drives, there's clearly a reason Patriot isn't.

In this benchmark, the 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 is almost twice as capable as the 120GB Patriot Inferno. We can't quite explain the drop off in performance, but one thing's for certain; not all 120GB SandForce drives are created equal.
