What's important to note here is that sequential read and write figures are way below those reported by ATTO. The reason for this lies with the data used by the benchmark, which is largely incompressible. SandForce drives work best when the controller can exercise its DuraWrite compression technology, and that's clearly not the case here.

The small-file writing speed is the most impressive part of the Vertex 2E, however, which is able to claim top spot in the 4K QD32 test by a significant margin.
