SPEC takes a lot longer to complete than the benchmarks on the previous page. We can surmise the heatsink is playing its part in keeping the Spatium M480 1TB cool enough to inhibit thermal throttling. Top marks here.
Utilities report a low temperature of 64°C under 15 minutes of bombardment. We reckon it is actually a bit higher than that, but even so, the heatsink is doing its job well enough.
Interestingly, running a few longer tests without the heatsink introduces throttling after around three minutes. We firmly believe that Spatium M480 needs some extra cooling, be that from the optional heatsink or underneath a motherboard's integrated covers.
