One would expect blazing-fast numbers from a cutting-edge controller and latest NAND. The WD Black NVMe doesn't disappoint. Straight-line speed is helluva fast, whilst running the hardest test, 4K random write with a queue depth of one and on a single thread, is still top of the charts.
Running with more load - queue depth of eight and a matching eight threads - boosts performance by a larger degree, helping the NVMe solution comfortably outdistance the others. Moving massive files on a regular basis? 3GB/s certainly helps.
