Overclocking results
Overclocking tests were undertaken with a load voltage of 2.75v. Mushkin's modules were tested with timings of 2-2-2-5, 2-3-2-6. and 2.5-3-3-7, respectively. A single complete 3DMark2001SE test was used to gauge basic RAM stability at the given frequencies.
We're looking at around PC3500 speeds with performance-enhancing 2-2-2-5 timings. Our sample's overclock fits in well with other low-latency modules.
I then relaxed RAS-to-CAS and row access time a touch. 2-3-2-6 can still be called low latency.
Now we're almost at PC3700 speeds with PAT-enabled settings. Not too bad.
The versatility of Samsung's DRAM is shown by a DDR500+ clocking with relaxed settings. The choice is yours. Either go for a low-latency setup or opt for a slower, overclockable CPU and synchronous RAM speed run with relaxed timings.
