Appearance and initial impressions

Premium memory should and needs to be packaged well. Mushkin used to use an inflatable bag. Corsair use plastic holders. OCZ do pretty much the same.

Lifetime warranty is always reassuring. Inside these little presentation boxes are the modules themselves, an instruction fold-out sheet that details installation (let's hope you don't need to use this) and a foam-ish support to stop the modules from rattling inside the boxes. The weighty feel of the box lends itself to a quality feel.

Oooh, can you say shiny ?. The attributes are clearly spelt out on the two little stickers. OCZ have a vast range of different memory modules and latencies. These modules, arguably, are the pick of the bunch if your main aim is simply to run synchronously at high FSBs. The i875P has shown an aptitude at running the FSB asynchronously to the RAM, though.

The OCZ name is engraved into the pack of the heatspreaders. It all gives off a classy feel. We'd guess that these are simply standard copper heatspreaders with a golden coating applied.
