Benchmark - SiSoft Sandra
The Patriot IEM (Intel Extreme Masters) set is physically identical to the Viper 3, apart from a different-coloured heatspreader. Any performance difference between the two is down to how the motherboard implements the XMP information.
Having looser timings in the BIOS creates a slight gap between the two sets of modules, though it's nothing that a user would notice.
The largest gap between the otherwise-identical Viper 3 and IEM is found in SiSoft Sandra's Cryptography test, where the 11-11-11-27-rated modules are 2.5 per cent faster.
