Wide-load efficiency
Efficiency is calculated by dividing the delivered DC figure from the amount of AC required at the wall. In essence, what is the wattage cost of converting AC to the DC supply used by PCs.
The XFX's higher capacity compared to the Corsair means that its efficiency curve is different. There's understandably a little less efficiency at lower loads, but at 600W it's better. We hope to see the 90 per cent barrier broken by 80 PLUS Gold supplies; XFX does that at the wattages that really matter.
