SilverStone Zeus 750W

The SilverStone Zeus 750W (model SST-ST75ZF) is a more reasonable size than the gigantic Enermax Galaxy PSUs.

But, although it's not so deep, it's still 30mm deeper than an ATX PSU would be.

So, do make sure before buying that it will fit your PC case.

The Zeus has no modular cables - all are hard-wired - so any that aren't used will need to be tied down well and hidden away if possible.

Although you can't tell from the image below, the Molex and SATA cables aren't sheathed at all but this is the cheapest PSU in the group test.

There's just a single fan - an 80mm.

In-pack, you get a Molex-to-PCIe adapter cable, an eight-pin EPS-to-P4 adaptor and a six-pin EPS-to-PEG adaptor. The EPS-to-P4 adaptor is particularly useful. Although you can fit the EPS plug onto most P4 sockets, sometimes there's just not enough space to squeeze it in.

Also provided are the basics - a mains-power lead, a manual, some screws and some fasteners.

The manual comes with a wiring chart telling you which +12V rail each plug is wired to. It also advises how to connect the third and fourth six-pin PCIe connectors using the supplied adapters should you need to.
