Usage
The 2405FPW's on-screen display is a piece of cake to use, especially if you use nothing but the DVI-D input. The panel's display controller (very likely a Genesis Malibu gm1601) interface lets you setup picture-in-picture with the minimum of button presses, switch inputs easily and control the properties attached to the analogue and digital inputs with ease. It's all very simple, easy to operate and logical. Common sense will see you right and reading the manual for the display shouldn't be needed in most cases.
The main screen shows the sub menus and the details of the active display and PIP settings. You can see the DVI-D input driving the display at its native resolution.
If you're not using an analogue input most of the display adjustment controls are locked out. After all, why would you need to adjust pixel clock, sharpness and scaling on a digital display filling out all the pixels? If you do have cause to use them the bezel buttons make it easy.
The monitor comes set at quite low brightness and temperature out of the box (6500K) so there'll be some adjustment to be made if you're in any way discerning about how your pixels look. An easy monitor to use.
