Brightness and Contrast

Deep blacks and good contrast are the hallmarks of VA panels, but the MAG272CQR does fall short in the brightness department. 289 nits is relatively low by today's standards, and though the matte finish makes for an acceptable viewing experience in most conditions, you don't get close to the eye-piercing experience on offer from pricier panels with true HDR certification.
