Colour uniformity
Colour uniformity wasn't great on the VA model, so we're pleased to find that the newer IPS variant is a marked improvement. Colour consistency across the entire 31.5in panel is excellent.
Luminance uniformity
But it isn't all good news. Luminance uniformity has actually taken a step backward, with over 10 per cent variance across the top and bottom, and on our sample there's a hint of bleed in the lower-left corner. It isn't noticeable enough to be detrimental to the overall experience, mind.
Power consumption is in line with expectations. Our readings reveal the IPS to be slightly more efficient than the VA, but there's not a lot in it.
