Brightness and Contrast
The strengths of a VA panel shine through in the black level and contrast ratio tests, with the AOC delivering best-in-class results. Inky blacks are always welcome, however the positives are tempered by a maximum brightness of just 215 nits.
Is below average brightness a genuine limitation? We found the display to be plenty bright in our environment, however the Q3279VWF is glossier than most of the desktop panels we've tested in recent times, so while vibrancy is boosted, there's greater risk of picking up unwanted reflection.
