Presentation, Bundle and Manual

The KN1 Extreme comes in a large box, covered in a cardboard sleeve which you can see here. A simple but effective design, with the rear of the packaging detailing some of the juicier features of the motherboard inside.

At the rear of the box inside the sleeve we see a more comprehensive look at the features on offer with this board, as well as a list of the bundled software.

To call the bundle found with the KN1 Extreme massive would most likely be an understatement - All of the bundles goodies actually come in their own separate box within the main packaging, which is a nice touch and almost a necessity due to the amount on show here. Starting with the usual fare, aside from the motherboard itself we find a manual, driver CD, a software CD and a CD for the included wireless adapter (more on that in a second). Then we have a plethora of cables to match the wealth of connectivity on the board - Four Serial ATA cables, two rounded IDE cables, a Serial ATA power splitter, a backplate LPT port, two additional backplate USB 2.0 ports together with two backplate Firewire ports and an RJ-45 network cable.

Finally, the KN1 Extreme also comes bundled with an 802.11g capable USB wireless networking device.

This device comprises of both a USB stick and cradle, so the device can either be plugged straight into a USB port or, as seen here, inserted into the cradle and plugged into a PC this way. A really neat addition to an already stupendously well-thought out bundle.

Manual

The manual provided with the KN1 Extreme is a small but comprehensive one, and even makes use of colour pictures! Also included is a quick-start guide for the aforementioned wireless network adapter.
