We tend not to see much variation between motherboards based on the same chipset, yet MSI has managed to sneak ahead of the comparison X99 board from Asus in the memory metrics. There's not a lot in, but the X99A Gaming Pro Carbon seems to eke out a little extra bandwidth from the quad-channel Crucial Ballistix Elite modules.
